The Ineffable Everyday Life is a collection of street photos in Puebla, Mexico where I live. The purpose of the project is to reconnect with the people and show the mundane things and peculiarities of Mexican culture. They are also a reflection of what captivates me as a person: people working, sharing time with family, and important festivities. These images are part of a larger project, I published a book for the MFA thesis.

Old businesses are disappearing rapidly in the downtown area. Luckily this barbershop is still standing. The barber carefully performs his art while the apprentice watches him attentive.
Cada vez hay menos negocios antiguos en la ciudad, esta barbería en el centro afortunadamente sigue en pie. El peluquero concentrado haciendo su trabajo mientras lo observan con detenimiento haciendo su arte.
La Inefable Vida Cotidiana es una colección de fotografías de calle tomadas en Puebla, México donde vivo. El propósito del proyecto es reconectar con la gente y mostrar las cosas mundanas y peculiaridades de la cultura Mexicana. Las fotos son un reflejo de lo que me cautiva como persona: gente trabajando, pasando tiempo con la familia y festividades importantes. Estas imágenes son parte de un proyecto más grande, la tesis de MFA como libro.

To celebrate our Lady of Saint Rosa of Lima the committee of street vendors located on 12th West Street in downtown Puebla (Mexico) organized a Free Wrestling match for all the people of the area. Free Wrestling or "Lucha Libre" in Spanish, is a popular sport and has a long-standing tradition in entertainment. Families gather at the scene to cheer for their favorite wrestlers, and kids wear masks and jump up and down the ring before the show. There are objects that take you back in time and have a strong link to childhood. Animal rides like this horse, remind me of the downtown area of the city I grew up. Now, these rides belong to the past, they are confined to the old parts of the city where time seems to have stopped.
